I know I have said before but I will say it again, Fresh 48s are hands down my favorite sessions! The emotions that are present in these sessions are so raw and real. As a new mom, you try to memorize every little detail of your new baby while fighting the pain and sleep deprivation that comes those first few days after delivery. I try to capture all those little details about a newborn that you want remember but that often change so quickly!

I had been waiting to meet this baby girl for a bit. We shot Amy’s maternity session back in January so I knew she was patiently waiting for Finely’s arrival. I met 3 day old Finley at Mercy St. Louis for an in hospital session. First thing that stopped me in my tracks was her hair! It was perfection. She also had the sweetest face! The best part of this session was watching Amy with her new baby girl. She was completely enamored with everything about her daughter. She kept saying ” Perfection takes time” throughout the session. This mama fought hard to get her rainbow baby and she displayed so much gratitude for finally having her in her arms. I am so happy I was able to capture and share these first moments with her. I’m looking forward to Finely’s newborn session.
