I spent a lovely Saturday morning with this new family of five. This lifestyle newborn session really represents why I love shooting this type of photography. When I arrived, the family was still getting everything together to get the session started. I took a quick tour of their adorable home to check out the lighting and such. There were so many cute little spots throughout their home that I simply loved. When we got ready to start, sweet baby girl decided she was hungry. Totally normal and part of the plan! What I loved about this, is it gave me time to spend with just the big sisters and dad. Everyone needs time to warm up and kind of get into a groove of session. The great thing about shooting in-home is this seems to happen a lot quicker, especially for younger children! I love this session because we were able to capture the family with the new baby but also just the sisters being themselves, which I think is just as important. I love capturing all those sweet childhood moments, like when one of them came downstair dressed in a princess dress with shoes to match! So adorable! I know this a time of transition for everyone in this family but I hope they can look back at these images and remember a little of what it felt like those first few weeks home with their new baby.
