So you have booked a family photography session with me and you maybe wondering, what happens next? Now that we have secured a date for session now the fun begins! You instantly get access to my amazing VIP Facebook group. This is a laid back group exclusively for my clients. In this group, I share styling tips and finds, prints sales, and anything else I think you might love. Did you know I have started a client closet? In my group, I have all the beautiful clothing pieces photographed so you can view what is available to use for FREE your session. Lastly, this group is where I open up last minute sessions, my black Friday sale, and fall calendar first. I love to spoil my favorite families so make sure you jump in the group!
About a month before your family photography session you will receive an e-mail jam packed with info from me to help you get ready for your session. This e-mail includes:
A session prep guide: This guide was designed exclusively for my family clients! It covers everything from how the session will flow to what to wear for your session. We even cover what to do about cranky kids or early bedtimes.
A client questionnaire: This questionnaire is SO important to help me plan your session. It contains some basic info, like phone numbers and names (I am terrible at names!) and ages. Also, things like what you are maybe looking for location-wise for your session and even a spot to share the important things you want to make sure I capture during your session. I want my families to use this as a spot to share any concerns or excitement they may have! This questionnaire really helps me prepare location ideas for you, get an idea of your family vibe, and gives me a feel for what you are really hoping to remember from this session.
Access to my styling site: Hate planning your family’s clothes, then this site is for you! It’s unique and SO easy to use. You will get a unique code that allows you to shop for each family member and do it cohesively with guaranteed photography items beautifully (Photographers designed it!) The site also helps pull in accessories if needed. Once you find a few pieces, you can purchase items directly on the site or send yourself (and me) a detailed email with all the shopping links and prices! Some of my families use this tool to style their whole family, while others get ideas with stuff they may have—either way, most families find it so helpful. I also strongly encourage my clients to reach out to me via e-mail or text if they need help with styling their family. I can help make a few small tweaks that can make a big difference for your photos.
Once we are about a week or so before your session, I will e-mail you. It contains location ideas, start time, and we can finalize any styling questions or other concerns. I hope that a family can relax through the process, knowing a bit more about what to expect. Interested in finding out what my sessions apart from other photographers? Let’s chat!
When I open up new booking windows, my email subscribers are the first people I notify. Please subscribe if you'd like to be among the first to know when I begin scheduling 2026 sessions!
