One of the perks of being a family and newborn photographer is that I get to watch my families grow! Typically, most of my in-home newborn families, return at 6-9 months for a milestone session and then for a 1 year family session. I love watching these sweet baby grow over the first year! I often recommend your home for milestone and 1 year sessions. I truly believe there is something so timeless and emotional about photographing your baby throughout the year in the place that means the most to you and to them. Kids, especially babies, are SO much more comfortable in their own home. You can easily get those authentic laughs and smiles you really want shooting in your home. The most common reason people seem to hold off booking an in-home family session is they think their home is not suited for in-home. They couldn’t be more wrong!!!! Trust me, you do not need a perfect home to have a beautiful session. I lead my sessions, both in-home and outdoors, by light and emotion. Every home has beautiful areas that are well suited to create stunning, emotive images you will love for a lifetime. I also provide every family a family session prep guide that helps them prepare their home for our session. But, I’m not afraid to move anything or make adjustments to get the image just right! I highly encourage you to think about shooting in your home, especially if you have always shoot outdoors.
