Photography can sometimes be a lonely profession. You get the privilege of engaging with amazing families but sometimes not having someone who truly understands being on the other side of the camera can be hard. I am so lucky to have someone! Funny story on how we met, a while back I received an e-mail, which I still have saved, with the subject line “Photographer friend :)”. I’m sure you can guess what it was about. I was honestly shocked when I first read the email. I would never have the courage to reach out to a total stranger or another photographer but I am SO glad Felise did. We ended up texting back and forth for a bit before we actually met. I felt like we understood each other right away. We both have girls close in age so we know the highs and the struggles of this profession, plus being a mama and wife. We ended up having a short playdate at local park and the rest is history. Ha! It may sound cheesy but I feel SO blessed that Felise came into my life. She has helped me through so many business struggles and has used those moments to build me up. She is the definition of community over competition.
This session truly represents why I love in-home sessions. It was laid back and fun. Felise knew of a couple things she wanted to try to capture but besides that we let the little one guide us. It was really fun! I can’t wait to shoot their family maternity session very soon! It will be AMAZING! Here are some of favorites. It was VERY hard to choose which to share because I really loved them all.
