Celebrating the first year of life is always one of my favorite sessions, especially when I have been able to capture the family throughout the first year. I first shot sweet Brooks last fall for our first session together. He was so happy, plus Maura and Cameron were a dream to work with. It was cloudy, windy, and cold that day but they pushed through with smiles on their faces! 

There are some sessions that just make your heart happy as an artist, this session is that one for me. If you have been following me for any amount of time, then you know I love moments and emotion over perfection. I want my images to make you feel something! 

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was to be able to shoot this family again. Last fall, we shot Otto’s newborn session and it is still one of my favorite sessions.  Nicole is so stylish, uber talented (check out my amazing logo from her), and one of the SWEETEST people you will ever meet. Her family is the exact same way and they all have such love for the baby of the family. 

Meet the cutest family around, The Richardson Family! This sunset family session is one of my favorites to date. Kayla is a local photographer, so when she contacted me I was over the moon excited and honestly a little terrified! I think shooting another photographer is the biggest honor but also usually makes me the most nervous at the beginning. 

I’m not sure how but I really have the most STUNNING clients ever! One of my favorite ages to shoot is around 6 months. They have just started sitting up and are usually all smiles. I loved all the faces this little guy made during our session. Of course, he had the biggest smiles when looking mom or dad!

The spring colors have been late to make their appearance in the St. Louis area. Everyone has been craving the warm sunshine on their skin, beautifully bloomed flowers, and green grass. This session had all of that and the most ADORABLE kiddos you will ever see. This is my second time shooting this family and both times have been so much fun. I have known Nicki since we were both  much younger and living our lives child free.

I’ve been excited to share this sunset maternity session since we shot it.  You may remember this adorable family from their in-home lifestyle session I shot this past winter.  Felise is the owner of Felise Photography and one of the great friends that I have made on this photography journey. I was over the moon thrilled to shoot her maternity session.  

Spring has finally arrived in St. Louis! This family session  was one of my first spring session of the year. It was so easy to jump back into shooting outside with this sweet family. We kept it light and fun! We played games, danced to music, snuggled, and laughed.

Spring is here….well sort of! I kicked off my outdoor season with the sweet family and they did not disappoint. It felt soooo good to get back outdoors for a lifestyle family session. There is something about warm weather and that golden light that make me so happy.
